50 YEARS OF SRISAILAM PROJECT HIGH SCHOOL

Dear Friends,

The Golden Jubilee Celebrations of our Project High School have been celebrated in a grand scale successfully on 27th & 28th December 2012 with the active involvement and support of one and all. About eight thousand people participated on Day1 ie., 27th including 2000 members of the Association. I, as the Chairman of Srisailam Project Old Students' Association (SLMP OSA) on behalf of all my colleagues in the Executive Committee and other Committees take this opportunity to express sincere thanks to all the members of SLMP OSA for their active participation in making this grand event very memorable. Indeed it is a great acheivement and a gigantic accomplishment for SLMP OSA which is not eve three years old.

A big 'THANKS' to the President Sri G. Sampath Kumar, Vice-Chairman Sri N. Haranath, General Secretary Sri A. Venkateswarlu, Executive Committee Members, Organizing Committee Members and other Volunteers who have put in relentless efforts, keeping their personal works aside in order to complete all the activities and on schedule. Also I would like to thank those members who travelled long distances and few even from other countries with a sole intent to participate in this mega event. Special thanks to all our beloved teachers and parents who took pains to attend the event and gave us an opportunity to felicitate them.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Sri G. Tati Reddy, Sri Emmadisetti Koteswara Rao, Sri T.R.C. Bose and all other choultry executives for their help in providing accommodation to OSA members and also in arranging breakfast, lunch and dinner during the two day event. The food that was served was very hygienic, tasty and is complemented by one and all.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the Souvenir Committee for bringing out the enviable Golden Jubilee Souvenir, "THE ALCHEMIST". The articles and the photographs in the Souvenir truly make us nostalgic about our great Alma Mater.

We sincerely thank and appreciate the since efforts put in by Sri Kolli Babu, Sri D.V. Narayana, Sri Gundaiah and Sri Bhimla Naik in constructing the school new buildings and the compound wall to the play ground with fine quality.

We would like to express sincere thanks to 1989 mates for sponsoring the sumptuous lunch on 27th December to six thousand plus people. Despite the unexpected huge turnout, yet they took care without any hiccups. We would like to acknowledge the dedicated work done by Sri V. Venkat Reddy, Sri E. Kishore and Sri R.V. Siva Prasad who took lead roles in making all the arrangements at the school venue to serve such a big crowd.

We would like to acknowledge the sincere efforts of 1990 mates in constructing the wonderful stage in the memory of their class mate Sri M. Vivekananda Reddy by contributing nearly 4 lakhs and it has comeout extremely well. Sri A. Ashok Kumar took a lead role in organizing the funds and construction. The stage is going to help the school and the students for their allround development. The students of the school and the old students displayed their literary and dramatic skills on this stage on 27th December.

We also extend sincere thanks to 1981 mates in sponsoring the games and sports kits worth of more than Rs. 1 lakh to the Project High School and Junior College. Sri M. Nageswara Reddy and Sri B. Ramanjaneyulu have taken the lead role in this task. On behalf of SLMP OSA, we have also donated wheel chairs to physically challenged children and Books & Education CD's to the school.

1983 mates presented the Public Address System to the school.

We would like to acknowledge the support from the local officials Sri E. Koteswara Rao, SE (APGENCO) and their engineers, supporting staff in providing us technical guidance in many aspects. The irrigation, C&B department officials provided uninterrupted power supply and Sri K. Bhaskar Rao, Contractor provided water tankers for the event.

We also would like to thank the Print and Electronic media for extensively covering the event. We also would like to thank Sri M. Subba Rao, Head Master of the School, teachers and children for extending the whole hearted support to SLMP OSA in organizing and making the celebrations a grand event.

Friends, till now our focus has been to develop the infrastructure and amenities in the Project High School, from now on our focus is going to be on improving the quality of education and the overall development of the school children. Hence, all the SLMP OSA members are requested to send their ideas so that we can formulate and take constructive steps to achieve this.

Finally, I as the Chairman of SLMP OSA thank each and every one who directly or indirectly supported us in making the Golden Jubilee Celebrations very memorable and let us all stay in touch and keep the SLMP OSA flag flying high.
