Srisailam Project Junior College
History and Evolution
Founding:Â The institution was inaugurated on 20 Aug 1963.
Original Purpose: It was initially established to provide quality education primarily to the children of the engineers, laborors and staff working on the massive Srisailam Hydro Electric Project.
Management Shift: The College was successfully managed by the Irrigation Department until 4 May 1982. Following this period, control was officially transferred to Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, and it has since operated under the state's Intermediate Education Department.
Academic Profile
Curriculum: The college provides General Intermediate Education alongside Vocational Educational streams.
Social Mission: Operating in a largely rural and hilly terrain, the college acts as a vital bridge to higher education for underprivileged and downtrodden families.
